4 peace reunion
with birth father meeting
hula hoop inventor |
I was illegally adopted through the gray
market. My adopted parents were above the legal age limit. My mom
was a school teacher and dad was a chiropractor. My mom would tell
me to sit up straight and cross my t’s. My dad would take me down
to his office and let me assist him in moving patient’s spines into
place. He had quite the following. His adjusting techniques put
people's slipped discs in place and saved them from surgery.
To make a long story short, my mom passed away from cancer, my dad of natural causes and my sister of a drug overdose. I was also bulimic for 11 years of adolescence. This all happened before I turned 30. These intense experiences built my warrior spirit. Hence, my kids and women’s program Hoop Warriors™. Also, I was forced to find my individuality apart from family and societal structure. I found the Earth to be my sense of stability, people I hoop with to become my ‘chosen family’ and hoop dance itself to be my religion.
In May of 2000, my high school friend called me in an excited panic. Upon my
okay, she had listed me on the national registry of missing persons to connect
siblings and parents, with her name as the contact. My biological father had
found me. He is the Singing
Chef. To make another long story short we are now
great friends. The similarities are profound. I know now, my craving for deserts
at every meal are not my fault. We both have taught yoga and meditation, love
to bike in the mountains and have fused two common activities in our businesses
which make people feel happy. Our reunion video and stories can be found on www.singingchef.com. He
is a passionate person who loves to talk about food, fun and finding others.
For any searching for relatives, feel free to contact him.
