Is there a ‘Beginner Hula Hoop’

There is NO such thing as a ‘beginner hoop’! The best hoop size for you is dictated by your height, weight, mass around your middle and by your spinal and pelvic mobility. If you lose weight, you can buy a hoop that is a bit smaller. If you gain weight, you can buy one that is a bit bigger and heavier. If your ability to hoop correctly from your core increases, this still will not change the size or weight of your hoop. 

    For example, You would not say that because you are an expert in walking, since you have been walking all your life, that now you will be able to ‘advance’ to a smaller or larger or lighter or heavier pair of shoes. The marketing of hoops for different abilities has been proven incorrect.
